Life is Beautiful is an excellent movie directed by Roberto Benigni. I believe that it is an excellent movie because the topic touches on the discrimination of Germans towards the Hebrews during this period of fascism. At the same time it shows family’s love during difficult time. The movie has drama and comedy. The film has some scenes that are very sad for the way that Guido, Dora and Josue are treated in the concentration camp where they are prisoners by the Germans.
This story begins when Guido meets to Dora and he tries to conquer her. He wins her love, and they have a son named Josue. One day when Dora arrives at her job she could not find Guido or Josue. She imagines that the Germans have taken them. So she decides to go with her family to a concentration camp. Since Josue was a little boy his father used to tell him that all in life was a game. Josue believes that whoever obtains 1000 points will win the game having as recompense a war tank. Josue believes in his father and he plays until the end. When his father dies Josue finds his mother and starts a new life.
Life is beautiful is the best movie that I have ever seen because this movie shows what happened to the Hebrews in the concentrations camps. They not only suffered from discrimination, but also all the hate Germans fell for them without any justification. They were treated like animals. I recommend this film for children and adults because the movie shows parents do for their children only for love.
