My history

My name is Laura Daniela Ochoa; my life is very beautiful and happy because I live with the people that I love most my mom, my dad and my brother .Our lives have changed since we came to live here in Palmira in the year 2001, since we arrived to Palmira we began to share more.

I was born in Bogotá, where live all my family my uncles, aunts and cousins. When we go to Bogota to see them for this reason I love this city. One year later I went to live in Girardot where I lived for five years I do not remember my friends from Girardot because I was too young. When I was six years old I came to live here in Palmira. It was February and the schools had begun five months earlier. The beginning was very hard for me because when I arrived I had never been here before. My father came and chose the house with help of a friend, when we arrived we went directly to Villa Roma, the building where we lived. I felt strange, because we arrived at a city that I did not know even existed, I knew that we were going to live here, perhaps for a long time because the job of my dad. Perhaps he will be transferred again one day. In the beginning I did not meet anyone. Everything for me was new and very different than Girardot, the place where I knew well and I had friends. I was very nervous. Because I did not know where I was going to go to school. I was wondering how my classmates were going to receive me. However, I did not stop to think about this question. I spent a month visiting several schools to see which the best school was. Finally, I chose Bethlemitas School. I began to study here because it was the most beautiful school with the biggest installations of Palmira.  

 When I arrived in the first grade, the psychologist asked me in which the two classrooms I wanted to be. I chose B, rather than A, because I heard the teacher shouts at the girls in that classroom. When I entered classroom B all my classmates watched me, I remember  Laura Daniela Ruiz, another girl that also was born in Bogotá. She explained and advanced me in all the subjects and also taught me to write in cursive writing. This skill was an obligation in elementary, I believe that if Laura have not helped me; it would have been very harder for me because I arrived at the school in the first grade in the middle of the school year. Therefore, I needed to learn in one month all the subjects that the rest of the children already have learned in six months. Laura Daniela Ruiz was my best friend during that year, the following year she returned to Bogota, but at the time I was I already adapted and I had friends.

After, that I continued to this day in the school. My house is surrounded by my friends and my family who I love much. Thanks to my friends, and my family, my life changed to be happier and more pleasant to live every day. I value everything that is around me and what they give to me. I would like to give thanks to God for sharing my family and friends who are the most important people in my life. I know that I have around me people that are going to support me and help me in all my life in good and bad moments.
